Ke Awa Iki – The Reef and Tidepool prepare for the New Year

Ke awa iki Reef and Tidepool by Richard Hart (2020)

On the west side of Hawaii Island is an area that is filled with coconut palms, Kiawe plants, and lonely beaches. Just a few miles from the hustling resorts and glamorous beaches lies a land that time has forgotten.
The Hawaiian people populated this area because catching and keeping fish here was easier than other areas.
You can feel the people from the past here, as they enjoyed living in paradise. Subtly colored earth tones, and restful vistas.
Mahalo!
