Obsidian’s Pleasure is an interpretive work inspired by a unique piece of mahogany obsidian found near an extinct volcano in Hawaii. Obsidian is usually considered an extrusive stone, because it usually solidifies above Earth’s surface where the edges of a lava flow come into contact with cool air or water. Done in rich browns, tans, and earthly shades.Uniquely, this piece also contains the impression that it is regarding you, as you stare in the final depths of the work.
