Hawai'i Art
I moved to Hawai'i in 2018 to be closer to one of the primary sources of my inspirational impetus: The Hawaiian Islands. This is where I discovered an on-going appreciation for the islands' rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Hawai'i art is all about light, color, and movement. A portrait is a representation of a particular person. Such paintings have always been more than just a record. They have been used to show the power, importance, virtue, beauty, wealth, taste, learning or other important qualities that characterize the sitter. Abstract Art
Abstract art is a form of art that does not attempt to represent external reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. For me, Abstract Art was a gateway to the greater world of my own personal art. Look for depth and motion in my Abstract Art pieces. To date, I have created numerous abstract works that explore the relationship between form and emotion, light and shadow.

Art of Europe
My family originally came from Europe. Both my parent's families are from Southern Italy. We immigrated to the United States through Canada (Famiglia Materna) and New York (Famiglia Paterna). I have numerous paintings that depict European life and culture. Europe has different meanings for different people, and I try to capture that diversity in my artwork.

Art of Japan
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be in a business that sold Japanese electronics starting in the late 1970's. I have always been fascinated by the precision and innovation of Japanese technology, and this interest has influenced my artistic perspective and work.
Having had the opportunity to visit Japan, I have been inspired by the country's rich culture and art history, which I try to incorporate into my artwork. I am particularly interested in the contrast between traditional and modern Japanese art, and the classical representations of the Edo period.

My good fortune extended to having my family's support in pursuing my musical interests. I have composed various pieces of music for different occasions, including creating my CD's: "Hope after heartache"(2007), "808Zones"(2016),"808Stones"(2017), "808Bones"(2018), "House of H'art"(2019), "Cuore Caldo"(2020), "Live in the lee of Kohala"(2021).
My compositions have been used in various settings, such as advertisements and film and video productions. My music is available on various platforms, including YouTube, where it has been well received by listeners.

For a variety of reasons, I have always been drawn to the beauty and complexity of botanical subjects. My botanical art pieces reflect this fascination, capturing the intricate details and forms of plants and flowers in a way that highlights their natural elegance.
Along with attempting to capture the essence of these subjects, I also strive to convey the emotional and aesthetic qualities that make them so compelling and fascinating.

ReImagined Art
When we moved to the Hawaiian islands, I was encouraged by the common interest in the paintings of Paul Gauguin. His art looks great in a tropical setting, but owning an original was just not possible. I decided to try to create my own versions of some of his paintings, and I was pleased with the results. My reproductions of Gauguin's paintings are available for sale on my website. I have also created my own versions of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Paul Cezanne.
Similarly, the Art of Japan has wide appeal here. and on the main land.It's regal and tranquil character calms the mind and spirit

Sea Life Art
I am an avid scuba diver and fisherman. And, Hawai'i is the perfect place to explore the rich diversity of marine life. Further, portions of my previous professional life centered around the seafood industry in Seattle and Alaska. I find beauty in the robust life pursuit of all the creatures in the oceans.
If you have never had the chance to pursue a large Tuna or Marlin in God's blue ocean, you have missed and extraordinary and life changing experience.
